Our Story
Good Dearest Unhappy is an independent, fine fragrance house based in Los Angeles, California. We are proudly queer, AAPI, and female-founded and owned. We compose our fragrances using consciously sourced materials and sustainable practices—we do things slowly, and we do them right.
Our fragrances are inspired by mythology, history, literature, and the natural world. You’ll notice that many of the notes in our perfumes have an imaginative quality, which is integral to our olfactive point-of-view. We consider ourselves a fragrance line in the tradition of impressionism; we value the artistic and emotional impact of a concept—real or imagined—over straightforward, photorealistic interpretation. Welcome to the world of Good Dearest Unhappy—
let us tell you a story.
